Music
Our teachers provide a music class on Thursday afternoons after school from 2.30pom to 3.15pm. This class is open to pupils from 3rd to 6th classes and is free to attend. The pupils learn songs and tin–whistle tunes. They perform at various school functions throughout the year.
Peace Proms 2025
Courtenay NS participated in the Peace Proms Concert at the University of Limerick. The Peace Proms is a wonderful initiative that brings together school choirs from across the country to perform alongside a full orchestra, promoting peace, unity, and a love of music. It was a fantastic experience for the children, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents, collaborate with other young musicians, and perform in a professional concert setting.
